BNI, Pindad, and Dirgantara Indonesia Held People’s Party with 4,000 People, 7,300 People Received Free Glasses

Balikpapan, 18 August 2019 --- Still in the atmosphere of celebrating the 74th Anniversary (HUT) of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) synergized with PT Pindad and PT Dirgantara Indonesia to hold a public party in the Merdeka Square area of Balikpapan, East Kalimantan on Sunday (18 August 2019). The event began with zumba gymnastics together and then continued with fun walk.

Present to carry out flag off of the fun walk, were the President Commissioner of BNI, Ari Kuncoro, the Consumer Business Director of BNI, Tambok P Setyawati, and the Balikpapan Mayor, Rizal Effendi.

Tambok P Setyawati said, BNI, Pindad, and Dirgantara Indonesia invited State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) employees, the community and also students to participating in the Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) Program to enjoy the people's party. The total participants reached around 4,000 people.

In addition to fun walk, BNI, Pindad, and Dirgantara Indonesia distributed around 4,000 cheap basic food packages containing rice, oil, sugar, salt, sardines and 1kg of wheat flour valued at Rp 100,000. The package can be obtained for only Rp. 25,000.

"Specifically, BNI distributes glasses to children from orphanages and Islamic boarding schools. In accordance with the theme of the Indonesian 74th anniversary, BNI hopes these glasses can support children's learning activities so that they can become superior human resources and advance Indonesia" In total, BNI distributed around 7,300 glasses throughout Indonesia," Tambok said.

In addition, participants can enjoy free culinary, shop at SOEs-fosteres MSMEs booths, check their health for free, and watch the entertainment stage.

Through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (BHUN) Program, BNI, Pindad, and Dirgantara Indonesia provided CSR aid in the form of clean water facilities, house renovation for SOEs employees and community, MCK facilities, house electrification, as well as scholarship in East Kalimantan Province.
