Need Cash at Lebaran? BNI Prepares Rp 14.3 Trillion Weekly

Jakarta, 15 May 2019 --- Cash is estimated to still be the main need of travelers who enjoy Lebaran 2019 holiday. The culture of giving each other with cash makes the need for cash still high, not to mention the other needs shold be met by travelers to remain comfortable while at home.

For this reason, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) ensures that the needs of its loyal customers for cash during Lebaran 2019 holiday period will be met. BNI calculates, the customer's money needs during Ramadhan and Idulfitri 1440 Hijri reach an average of Rp 14.3 trillion per week or an increase of 5% compared to the realization in 2018. BNI ensures that weekly needs are met.

"BNI is also ready to meet the need for cash which can reach its peak on the 4th Sunday of Ramadan or on 27 May 2019-2 June 2019, which can reach Rp 21.6 trillion," said the Information Technology and Operation Director of BNI, Dadang Setiabudi when attended the Small Denomination Exchange (UPK) Ceremony at IRTI Field Monas, Jakarta (May 17, 2019).

The cash can be obtained by public through BNI ATM network which reaches 18,361 units throughout Indonesia as well as through outlets that operate on a limited basis, and mobile outlets (O-Branch BNI).

In addition, BNI also supports Bank Indonesia program to participate in the Small Denomination Exchange held at IRTI Field Monas on 13 – 17 May 2019 and at Bank Indonesia Museum on 20 -24 May 2019.       

BNI opens Small Denomination Exchange (UPK) Service for Public at 10 Branches, namely Central Jakarta Branch Office (KC), KC Menteng, KC Tebet, KC Harmoni, KC Jakarta Kota, KC Bogor, KC Margonda, KC Tangerang, KC Bekasi, and KC Rawamangun.

People are also encouraged to maximize the use of BNI TapCash Card electronic money. BNI TapCash cards can be used for payments at toll gates along the homecoming lane. TapCash cards can also be used to transact at various merchants.
