(16/7/2024) - JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, through its subsidiary in the venture capital industry, BNI Ventures, launched their first innovative program BNV Arcade, in a Grand Launching event at Menara BNI, Jakarta, Friday (12/7/2024).
In collaboration with partners from the startup ecosystem namely KUMPUL.ID, Block 71, and Tech In Asia, BNI Ventures strengthens its involvement in the BNI Group ecosystem, including venture capital and startups.
The vision of BNI and BNI Ventures through BNV Arcade is consistent with the blueprint for Indonesia Emas 2045, which intends to accelerate startup growth through enhanced digitization. The hope is that the entrepreneurship rate will rise from 3% this year to 8% by 2045.
BNV Arcade has an initiative to strengthen cooperation in developing innovation and business growth in the BNI Group ecosystem, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop startups through access to the necessary resources, networks and funding.
In his remarks, BNI Ventures Chief Executive Officer, Eddi Danusaputro, said, “BNI Ventures, as a corporate venture capital company, has a wide network of access to innovative startups, founders, and digital talents. BNV Arcade is a concrete step to create a platform that allows startups to develop innovative ideas that can be integrated into the BNI Group ecosystem. This program aims to strengthen the synergy between startups and BNI Group.”
BNV Arcade features a gamification concept that consists of three main initiatives: Match Arc, Axel Arc, and Forge Arc. “Match Arc aims to improve business continuity between startups and BNI Group business units. Axel Arc is an accelerator program consisting of mentoring and market access. While Forge Arc is an initiative in developing venture builders,” explained Eddi.
On the same occasion, BNI Technology & Operations Director Toto Prasetio emphasized that accelerating technology and digitizing business processes is a must to maintain BNI Group's competitiveness and relevance to evolving market needs. Through synergy, investment and innovation activities carried out by BNI Ventures, opportunities for cooperation with innovative startups in operational aspects can be wide open.
“Innovation programs such as BNV Arcade have great potential in bringing the latest innovations and technologies into the BNI Group. With the innovations brought by BNV Arcade, BNI Group's operational efficiency has the potential to increase significantly,” said Toto.
On the other hand, BNI Finance Director Novita Widya Anggraini stated that BNI Group is proud of the strategic role played by BNI Ventures in supporting the achievement of the company's big goals. The Grand Launching event also featured a fireside chat discussion session inviting startup founders such as Bisma Manda Samsu (Kecilin.id), Sabrina Soewatdy (Rukita), and Bayu Anggara (Fishlog), moderated by Faye Wongso (KUMPUL.ID). This discussion session emphasized the importance of innovation for company growth and sustainability as well as understanding the dynamics of successful collaboration between BNI Group, corporations, and startups.
At the Signing Ceremony session, Kecilin.id, Rukita, and Fishlog signed a partnership with BNI business units, marking BNI Ventures' commitment to supporting collaboration and innovation between startups and corporates within the BNI ecosystem.
This event marks the inauguration of the BNV Arcade program and supports startups that are intertwined with the BNI Group to produce innovations that lead to the creation of established businesses.
