Accomplishing Last Year's Target, BNI Aggresively Distributing KUR 2020

Jakarta, 5 February 2020 --- It takes effort, hard work, and high commitment from all entities of a bank so that the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) can run well. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) consistently carries out planning, initiation strategy, execution, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of the KUR distribution program from year to year to ensure the benefits of these loans.

This was conveyed by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Network Director of BNI, Tambok P Setyawati in Jakarta on Wednesday (5 February 2020).

Tambok said, BNI continues to innovate in channeling KUR ranging from cluster-based distribution, orange zone market penetration around BNI outlets, value chain financing business partners of corporate debtors (both in agricultural, fishery and trade commodities), developing government programs in the form of KUR Tani, synergizing with partners startups, improving the quality and accuracy of one-on-one distribution patterns and developing easy access to KUR financing through digital.

"These innovations have led BNI to be named the 1st Best KUR Distributor in the past 2019 from the Coordinating Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia" Tambok said.

The Small Business Enterprise-2 Leader of BNI, Bambang Setyatmojo said that BNI KUR expansion is looks quite aggressive. In 2018, the initial target of KUR BNI is IDR 13 trillion. In its journey, the distribution of KUR BNI has reached the target in September 2018, so that BNI received an additional KUR limit allocation of Rp 3 trillion. The total realization of BNI KUR distribution at the end of 2018 reached Rp15,989 trillion to 185,223 debtors.

"By consistently innovating, synergizing and providing more assistance, in 2019, BNI received a KUR ceiling of Rp 16 trillion and the target was reached in September 2019. Then, last October, we received an additional KUR ceiling of Rp 2 trillion. Until the end of 2019, BNI succeeded in recording the distribution of KUR amounting to Rp17.7 trillion to 241,306 debtors," said Bambang.

NI's role in national development is undeniable, one of which is participating in the development and empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). BNI continues to actively support the Government's Program in developing MSMEs in line with the policy direction of President Joko Widodo's administration, namely through the support of lending or financing to MSMEs.

The provision of credit or financing in the form of KUR to MSMEs is one form of realizing economic independence that can drive the strategic sectors of the domestic economy. Many small and medium scale national entrepreneurs developed into large entrepreneurs thanks to the contribution of BNI.

BNI is Proud to Promote Indonesian MSMEs

Capital aspect is indeed a classic problem in the development of MSMEs. In fact, as a matter of fact, many MSMEs have decent businesses to be given banking access (feasible). But on the other hand, MSMEs don't yet have many opportunities to access banking when compared to the corporate business sector.

BNI's strategic role in the implementation of national development, one of which is to provide tangible benefits to people who previously did not get access to financial literacy to become bankable and more equitable welfare with support for low-cost and fast capital through a cluster pattern and present assistance so that monitoring of KUR debtor business is easy to do and access to assistance and support can be maximized.

The pattern of financing provided to MSMEs is grouped on the basis of three conditions of business capability. First, MSMEs that are potentially feasible but not yet bankable, financing patterns are provided through partnership schemes. Second, MSMEs that have been feasible but are not yet bankable, financing patterns are provided in the form of subsidies or loans with interest subsidies by other governments. Third, MSMEs that are feasible and bankable, are provided with small segment commercial credit facilities.

The expectation is that, in addition to BNI being able to provide easier and more familiar KUR capital access to MSME actors, it can also provide benefits for business improvement and welfare for Indonesian MSMEs.

BNI KUR limit in 2020 with 6% interest scheme is Rp 22 trillion.
