Jakarta, 7 October 2021 -- During this pandemic, public safety and health is a top priority by implementing the 5M protocol in a disciplined manner. However, at the same time, the demand to continue activities in order to run the wheels of the economy must continue, so that the need for healthy and safe financial transactions is higher.
As a bridge between these two needs, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI integrates two applications at once to provide convenience to the public, especially BNI Mobile Banking users, to access Care Protect through BNI Mobile Banking.
The PeduliLindung application is a tool that is the backbone of the government in tracking and stopping the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The government through developing this application via the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
This Peduli Protect application makes it easy to trace contact history with COVID-19 sufferers by scanning QR in public areas. The government will integrate the PeduliLindung application with applications that are commonly owned by the public.
This unification was announced by the Ministry of Health through the Virtual Launch of PeduliLindung integration with popular digital platforms used by the Indonesian people in Jakarta, Thursday (7 October 2021). One of the selected applications is the BNI Mobile Banking application.
"PeduliLindung application is designed for 3 matters in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. First, for screening vaccination status and PCR tests, especially for the 6 main activities that many Indonesians do. Second, for tracing function, which is expected if there is a positive case, we can find out who is at the location very quickly. Third, to support the implementation of health protocols (prokes)," said the Minister of Health (Menkes), Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
The Minister of Health, Budi, also expressed his gratitude to the partners who have supported the PeduliLindung application to reach all Indonesian people. "Thank you to BNI, Mandiri, Tokopedia, Jaki, Grab, Tiket.com, Dana, LinkAja, Goers, Traveloka, Shopee, Halodoc, Loket.com and Mcash," he said.
BNI’s President Director, Royke Tumilaar said, The integration of PeduliLindung application into BNI Mobile Banking application is entering the finalization phase, so that in the near future, customers can access the PeduliLindung feature directly through BNI Mobile Banking application. BNI customers can scan the QR code to check in and check out in public places through BNI Mobile Banking application.
"With the integration of PeduliLindung in BNI Mobile Banking application, it is hoped that it will make it easier for the public and help government agencies in conducting digital tracking to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia," he said.
