Depok, 21 August 2022 -- Homecoming Day UI 2022 is here again to explore the talents of arts and academic sports at the University of Indonesia (UI). This prestigious UI event was held again from the collaboration of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) with UI and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or (BNI).
Carrying the theme of Haru, Love, and Dance, the nostalgic feel of Homecoming Day UI will be filled with RAN, The Groove, Chaplin and a row of UI alumni musicians at the UI Rotunda field in Depok, West Java, Sunday (21/8/2022).
ILUNI UI Chairperson, Andre Rahadian said that the Home Coming Day activity is an Indonesian event wrapped in arts and sports that was the most awaited by all UI alumni.
"We appreciate all parties involved in the success of Homecoming Day UI 2022, especially UI and BNI. This is a gathering event between alumni from 16 faculties at the University of Indonesia who are able to embrace more than 5,000 UI alumni from all over Indonesia,” he explained.
ILUNI UI Alumni Center Chairperson, Wadan Metha Firdaus, explained that the activity started in the morning on a leisurely bicycle, followed by blood donation, health checks and Vaccine Run.
Starting at noon, the event will be enlivened with faculty performances, namely parodies in the form of short theater performances that tell about experiences during the pandemic presented in comedy packages, and band performances from faculty or program representatives, as well as flash mob competitions.
"In addition, there are also alumni gathering spots, and competitions between faculties with the theme of UI campus nostalgia, Quick Gathering, which is a networking session between UI alumni wit various topics related to career, business, and social life," he said.
The Launching of KTA ILUNI UI and UI Connect gen 2
In his statement, BNI’s Director of Institutional Relations, Sis Apik Wijayanto explained, BNI has always shown a commitment to synergize with ILUNI UI, including at this year's Home Coming Day UI event.
BNI re-launched the KTA ILUNI UI membership card with a newer design, and launched the UI Connect gen 2 application where BNI again provides support in the development of the application.
The UI Connect application is an application that can be a liaison between University of Indonesia alumni and create bonds among alumni.
“Cooperation with ILUNI UI and with the University of Indonesia has been done institutionally for quite a long time in various fields. On this occasion, BNI feels proud to be able to fully support this activity," he explained.
