BNI Recorded an Upsurge in Mobile Banking Users to 20.9%

7/11/2023. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, managed to record positive digital banking performance in the first quarter of 2023, owing to the company's digital innovation in meeting customers' increasingly diverse needs.

BNI Deputy President Director Adi Sulistyowati said the number of BNI Mobile Banking users until September 2023 increased by 20.9% YoY from the previous 12.9 million users to 15.6 million users.

This was also followed by an increase in the number of transactions by 75.3% YoY to reach 738 million transactions, and transaction value which grew 53.6% YoY to IDR 874 trillion.

"The performance achievement of BNI Mobile Banking is very positive. This is in line with BNI's strategy to make BNI Mobile Banking a reliable One Stop Financial Solutions for retail customers,” she said.

Susi continued. BNI will continue to expand services by optimizing the BNI Group ecosystem and creating strategic relationships, particularly in optimizing the transaction ecosystem of domestic corporate partners to global partners to address consumer needs in the present digital banking era.

Susi is also pleased that the momentum of economic growth at the end of this year is still very positive, supporting business development and the development of various digital service solutions owned by banking.

In this momentum, according to her, BNI will continue to innovate digital services supported by data analytics, as well as the use of open banking to encourage ease of transactions, efficiency and automation of business processes, and accessibility of integrated financial services based on ecosystems.

“In addition, we also continue to develop and innovate to strengthen the system security of digital service solutions,” Susi said.

BNI Welcomes Festive Season

In the next phase, the Company will continue to develop and strengthen the performance of BNI Mobile Banking features such as lifestyle and transportation, for example booking and paying for blue bird taxis, paying for Whoosh fast train tickets, as well as BNI Credit Card autodebit, BPJS Kesehatan, and postpaid telecommunications.

BNI also continues to improve the performance and top-up services of tapcash and wallet, as well as reliable QRIS payments, to provide transaction convenience for the community.

“Various attractive promos have also been prepared by BNI for customers, in order to welcome the festive season such as Christmas and welcoming the new year 2024,” she concluded.
