7/11/2023. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI is proactive in order to succeed the development of sustainable infrastructure and the financial ecosystem of the National Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
BNI has presented a BNI Outlet in Sepaku, East Kalimantan, which will be an important partner in providing digital-based financial services and establishing synergies with various parties involved in the development of IKN.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said BNI has become the first state bank to establish a strategic partnership with the IKN Authority.
"Our office in Sepaku is dedicated specifically to serving IKN's development needs. We continue to collaborate with other units within IKN,” Okki said.
In addition, BNI has supported a number of initiatives, including logo selection, provision of a financial ecosystem for workers in the development sector, and investment campaigns to Singapore.
BNI has also launched a multifunctional card that makes it easier for workers at IKN to make payments and transactions at their residential locations. This is BNI's commitment to providing digital services in the IKN area, in line with IKN's vision as a smart city.
“The concept of IKN as a smart city is very relevant to the concept held by BNI, which includes 6 concepts: smart people, smart governance, smart infrastructure, smart environment, smart economy, and smart society,” said Okki.
BNI has added digital machines, including ATM CRM (cash recycle machine), DigiCS, and plans to add BNI Sprint and other machines to provide convenience for customers at IKN.
“With the growing development at IKN, we will continue to increase the number of digital services and machines within the IKN environment”, Okki said.
Not only that, BNI also provides full support for the Kompas 100 CEO Forum 2023 Program with the theme “Moving Towards a Golden Indonesia”.
The event took place on November 1-2, 2023 in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, which is also the center of IKN's activities.
On this occasion, President Joko Widodo and SOE Minister Erick Thohir also inaugurated the Mentawir Nursery, the Construction of the Palace Complex, and the Groundbreaking of the Bank Indonesia Office Complex. BNI Institutional Banking Director Muhammad Iqbal, took part in the inauguration.
"With this strong commitment, BNI is the primary partner in ensuring IKN development's success and meeting the region's different financial demands.” Okki concluded that BNI is prepared to play a constructive role in attaining IKN's vision of sustainable development.
