Targeting the outh Korean and Japanese Markets, BNI and BI Develop Xpora

26/11/2023. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI is collaborating with Bank Indonesia (BI) to develop BNI Xpora products in order to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to penetrate the global market.

On this occasion, BNI Region 02 together with BI Representative of West Sumatra held a Seminar and Business Matching with the theme Unlocking Opportunities in South Korea and Japan Market which was held at the Anggun Nan Tongga Building of Bank Indonesia, Padang, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

During the event, BNI Xpora in collaboration with the Trade Attaches in Seoul, South Korea and Japan conducted business matching between MSMEs and potential buyers from South Korea and Japan.

More than 150 MSME players participated to introduce their products to buyers from Korea and Japan. This agenda also coincided with the Sumbar Creative Fest pre-event.

Present at the event were BNI Region Leader 02 (West Sumatra, Riau and Riau Islands Area) Khairul Salam, Head of BI Representative of West Sumatra Province Endang Kurnia Saputra, representative of Trade Attaché Seoul South Korea Eko Aprilianto Sudarajat, Agricultural Attaché Tokyo Japan Muhammad Muharram Hidayat, ITPC Osaka Japan RM Dicky Farabi, representative of Customs Hery Syamsul Bahtiar, and Head of Entrepreneurship of Andalas University Nofialdi

In his statement, BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo explained that this capacity building program shows that BNI Xpora will continue to be one of the empowerments for Indonesian MSMEs to continue to advance and is expected to advance Indonesian MSMEs in the international market.

"BNI Xpora will continue to support the export performance of local products and deliver local MSMEs to go global," he concluded.

He said that BNI and BI support MSMEs to penetrate the South Korean and Japanese markets. With a one on one method, this business matching is expected to be a bridge to market Indonesian MSME products in the country.

Okki said, with BNI's foreign office network spread across seven countries, BNI Xpora continues to optimize its role as a BNI channel in penetrating market access abroad.

"On the other hand, the company hopes that this program can increase the volume of export transactions and foreign exchange earnings, as well as introduce Indonesian-made products to Korea and Japan," he said.
