17/08/2024. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, through its SME incubation program, BNI Xpora, successfully held the 5th BNI Exporters Forum (BEF) in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The event, themed “Export Market Prospect 2024”, aimed to equip local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the knowledge and insights needed to penetrate the global market.
The opening of BEF was officially carried out by BNI Region 07 Makassar Chairman Muhammad Arafat, together with the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxation of South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi (Sulselbartra) who also represented the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) One South Sulawesi Heri Kuswanto.
In his remarks, Muhammad Arafat expressed that BEF Makassar was attended by around 73 SMEs that have high export potential businesses. “Through this forum, SMEs not only get in-depth exposure from experts, but also have the opportunity to network and share experiences,” said Arafat.
In addition to providing an understanding of export market opportunities, BNI also introduced the wondr by BNI mobile banking application to all participants. This application is designed to provide solutions for the people of Indonesia so that they can carry out more planned financial management according to their respective financial needs through the features of the three Dimensions of Finance, namely Transaction, Insight, and Growth.
BNI Xpora itself offers a comprehensive range of services to support SMEs in developing their business internationally, from training, mentoring, to facilitating market access. Arafat added, so far the BNI Exporters Forum has been successfully held in various cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Lampung, Bandung, Surabaya and Makassar. BNI is committed to continue organizing this forum in other cities to reach more SMEs and encourage them to Go Global.

Through the organization of BEF in various cities, BNI hopes to inspire more SMEs to dare to step into the global market. We believe that Indonesian SMEs have enormous potential to compete at the international level,” said Arafat.
Also present at the event were a number of expert speakers from various related institutions, including Senior Diplomat of the East Asia Directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dino R. Kusnadi W, Team Leader of the Export Information Development Division of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade Dwinanto Rumpoko, and Head of the BK Public Relations Section of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of South Sulawesi (Sulbagsel) Cahya Nugraha.
