PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the government in providing housing access for low-income communities (MBR). Thru cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Settlements (Kemen PKP) and the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), BNI has been mandated to distribute 25,000 units of Housing Ownership Credit with Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (KPR FLPP) by 2025.
The amount has surged more than double compared to BNI's initial quota this year, which was only 10,750 units. This distribution is part of BNI's commitment to supporting the government's 3 Million Houses Program aimed at reducing the national housing backlog.
The agreement was formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Grha BNI, Jakarta, on Wednesday (23/7). The signing was conducted by BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia Maruarar Sirait, and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho.
On that occasion, a hybrid mass credit agreement was also held, involving 779 subsidized KPR debtors. Eight debtor representatives attended the event in person, while the rest participated online from various regions of Indonesia.
The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of Indonesia, Maruarar Sirait, affectionately known as Minister Ara, expressed his appreciation to BNI for the concrete support provided. "Today, 779 debtors have conducted a mass subsidized mortgage agreement." This is not just a number, but the faces of families who will have decent housing," he said.
On the same occasion, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho also appreciated BNI's active contribution in distributing subsidized housing loans. "As of today, BNI has disbursed 6,025 FLPP housing loans worth IDR759.57 billion," said Heru.
BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan added that with the FLPP distribution quota of 25,000 units from the total national quota, this underscores the high level of trust the government has in BNI to implement the program.
"With a quota of 25,000 units, BNI is ready to support the acceleration of providing decent housing for low-income communities. This is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to being present among the people," emphasized Putrama.
With support for this Government program, BNI not only demonstrates its capacity in channeling financing but also reinforces its role as a national development agent, committed to providing inclusive and sustainable financial solutions for all layers of society.
