Mudik Gratis BUMN 2026 With BNI Was Enthusiastically Welcomed, Thousands of Travelers Experienced the Benefits

run by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI), has received a positive response from the public. Thousands of travelers have reported that the program has helped them, particularly in reducing travel costs during the Eid al-Fitr holiday season.

BNI has dispatched more than 7,000 travelers to various destinations in Java and Sumatra. Of these, approximately 1,500 were seen off in a ceremony held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Ring Road in Jakarta on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

One of the participants, Budi Arief, a Bekasi resident, said the program was very helpful, especially amidst high transportation fares during the homecoming season.

"I think it's very useful, especially for those of you who want to go home for Eid when public transportation fares are very expensive. This time, everything is free, facilitated by state-owned enterprises," said Budi.

He added that the registration process was relatively easy and well-organized. Participants simply needed to register by showing their ID and a BNI account, then following clear steps, from queuing for tickets to distributing homecoming supplies.

"The process was smooth, from registration to the distribution of supplies like t-shirts, hats, and food. So we felt well-served," he said.

In addition to providing transportation, participants also receive a homecoming equipment package to ensure a comfortable journey. This is considered to enhance the homecoming experience, making it more organized and comfortable for the public.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that BNI's participation in this program is part of the company's commitment to providing services to the community while also supporting the smooth flow of Eid al-Fitr homecoming travelers.

"Through this program, BNI hopes that travelers can experience a safe and comfortable journey and can gather with their families in their hometowns," said Okki.

He added that BNI's involvement in the Mudik Gratis BUMN program is also expected to help reduce the burden of travel costs on the public and support a more orderly distribution of homecoming traffic.

The Mudik Gratis BUMN 2026 Program is a collaborative initiative between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable transportation solutions for the public. It is hoped that similar programs will continue and provide broader benefits to the Indonesian people.
