A total of 10,000 runners from within and outside the country are confirmed to take part in the international running event, the wondr Kemala Run 2026, which will be held at the Bali United Training Center, Gianyar, Bali, on Sunday, April 19, 2026. This activity is one of the efforts to encourage the development of sports tourism while strengthening social action through the theme Charity for Indonesia.
This event is a collaboration between PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI), through its digital platform, wondr by BNI, and the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation. Approximately 1,000 runners will compete in the Half Marathon, 4,000 in the 10K, and 5,000 in the 5K.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said this activity is an important momentum in promoting a healthy lifestyle while increasing Bali's appeal as a world-class sports destination.
"Through the wondr Kemala Run 2026, we want to present an international-class running experience while encouraging people to live healthier and more active lives," Okki said in a written statement.
He added that the high level of runners’ participation from various backgrounds, including running communities, the general public, to international participants, shows that this event is increasingly recognized as a global sporting event.
In addition to the primary competition, the event includes a variety of supporting activities for the local community, such as competitions between villages and hamlets along the route. These activities are expected to increase community involvement and bring economic advantages to the region.
The event's theme, "Charity for Indonesia," emphasized the virtues of togetherness and social responsibility. Participants are urged to make a good impact on society by donating and participating in humanitarian initiatives.
During the event, BNI also offers various digital transaction services to ensure the convenience of participants and visitors. These includes opening new accounts and using QRIS for transactions, as well as various promotions such as cashback and rewards, which can be enjoyed directly on-site.
Okki believes that this kind of synergy between the banking sector and the sports community not only provides a quality sports experience but also strengthens the digital ecosystem and supports local economic growth.
"The enthusiasm of the participants shows that this event is not only a sporting event, but also has the potential to have a positive impact on the regional economy," he said.
The Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation, as the organizing partner, also plays an active role in integrating sports activities with social and humanitarian initiatives. This collaboration is part of an effort to strengthen togetherness and expand the activities' benefits to the community.
With its large-scale participation and integrated concept, the wondr Kemala Run 2026 is expected to strengthen Bali's position as an international sports tourism destination while providing a memorable running experience for participants from various countries.
