PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is supporting a mass loan signing ceremony for 62,710 borrowers of subsidized home loans (KPR) through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility scheme. This participation is part of the company’s support for the Three Million Homes Program and its efforts to expand access to decent housing for low-income communities.
A mass contract signing ceremony and key handover took place at Puri Delta City Side, Batang Regency, Central Java, on Thursday (30/7/2026). A total of 200 borrowers attended in person, while 62,510 others participated online.
The event was opened by Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, and attended by Maruarar Sirait, Minister of Housing and Human Settlements; Heru Pudyo Nugroho, Commissioner of BP Tapera; the leadership of the Association of State-Owned Banks; representatives of participating banks; developers; and beneficiaries.
BNI is one of the participating banks involved in providing subsidized home financing for low-income communities. Muhammad Iqbal, Director of Commercial Banking at BNI, said that this support is part of the company’s commitment to providing inclusive financing solutions.
“BNI continues to support various government priority programs that have a tangible impact on the community. With a spirit of wholeheartedly serving the nation, we aim to expand the public’s access to decent housing through the provision of subsidized home loans,” said Iqbal in a written statement.
According to him, the provision of subsidized home financing can also drive growth in the housing sector, which has a multiplier effect on various economic activities.
In addition to the subsidized home loan agreements, the event also included a mass signing ceremony for 200 borrowers under the People’s Business Credit for Housing Program. In total, the value of the People’s Business Credit for Housing agreements reached IDR880 billion for 7,100 borrowers.
This figure consists of 6,873 borrowers on the demand side and 227 borrowers on the supply side. The program is designed to strengthen the housing ecosystem, both for people in need of housing and for businesses that support its provision.
A number of beneficiaries also took part in the symbolic key-handover ceremony. One of them was Nilam Chya Ayu, a BNI customer who works at a shoe factory in Batang.
On the same occasion, the President held an online conversation with Terry Alfrits Wagiu, a BNI customer who works as a journalist in Tomohon. Terry shared his journey to finally owning his first home after 14 years of marriage through BNI’s subsidized home loan program.
Iqbal believes that collaboration between the government, banks, developers, and other stakeholders is a key factor in accelerating the provision of housing for the public.
“BNI is optimistic that the synergy between the government, the banking sector, developers, and all stakeholders will further accelerate the provision of decent housing for the public while also driving national economic growth,” he said.
Through its participation in this mass mortgage signing ceremony, BNI aims to expand access to housing finance while supporting the development of a more inclusive housing ecosystem. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to providing financial solutions that directly benefit the community and support national development.
