PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, officially launched the new BNIdirect Business feature and the new wondr Merchant solution as part of the BNI wondrX 2026 event at ICE BSD in Tangerang on Friday (08/21/ 2026) last week. The introduction of these two services reinforces BNI’s support for the digitization of business activities, ranging from transaction management and financing to payment processing.
The launch was marked by a symbolic ceremony led by BNI Deputy President Director Alexandra Askandar and witnessed by BNI’s Board of Directors, BNI management, and strategic partners.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that the development of BNIdirect Business and wondr Merchant is part of BNI’s efforts to address the needs of the business world, which increasingly relies on digital services to carry out its daily operations.
“Through BNIdirect Business and wondr Merchant, BNI offers digital services that help businesses manage transactions, financing, and payment collections more conveniently and efficiently. We continue to develop services tailored to the needs of both corporations and MSMEs,” Okki said in a written statement.
Through BNIdirect Business, BNI has introduced several new features, one of which is the Merchant Report. This feature allows business owners to apply for QRIS payment services, monitor transaction activity, and access QRIS transaction reports that can be used to support transaction planning and evaluation.
BNIdirect Business also offers an SME Financing feature that simplifies the process for business owners to apply for financing. Through this feature, businesses can access capital and business development funding as part of the BNIdirect Business digital service.
Additionally, the Multi-User feature offers companies flexibility in managing user access and permissions, including defining approval workflows for each transaction. Consequently, financial management can be tailored to the specific structure and needs of each business.
Meanwhile, wondr Merchant is designed to help merchants manage digital payment acceptance activities, ranging from merchant registration, account opening, and QRIS generation to transaction monitoring and fund settlement.
Merchants can monitor transactions in real time and receive notifications for every transaction. wondr Merchant also offers automatic settlement up to five times a day, making the receipt and management of transaction funds more convenient.
"Through wondr Merchant, we bring together various merchant needs into a single digital service—ranging from onboarding, payment acceptance, and transaction monitoring to settlement," said Okki.
According to Okki, BNIdirect Business and wondr Merchant serve complementary functions. BNIdirect Business helps companies manage transactions, financing, and operations, while wondr Merchant focuses on payment acceptance needs and merchant transaction management.
The strengthening of these digital services also aligns with the direction of SOE transformation under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia, which drives enhanced competitiveness, innovation, and strengthened corporate capabilities to deliver increasingly effective services to the public and the business community.
As an SOE in the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BNI continues to strengthen digital transformation as one of the foundations of business development. This step is aimed not only at increasing service efficiency, but also at expanding support for business actors of various scales so that they can grow and adapt to developments in the digital economy.
The launch of these two services on wondrX 2026 also offers customers and visitors the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the features and their usage through demonstrations and product education.
"We want to bring innovation closer to customers and business players, while ensuring that BNI's digital services provide convenience that is truly felt in their daily business activities," said Okki.
