BNI Distributes Supplies Ranging from Masks to Medicines to Communities Affected by the Anak Krakatau Eruption

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) distributed health aid to the community and healthcare facilities in the South Lampung region in response to the impact of the Mount Anak Krakatau eruption on Tuesday (9/8/2026). The aid provided included masks, vitamins, and medicines.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that the distribution of aid is tailored to on-the-ground needs so that it can be utilized by the community and healthcare facilities in the affected areas.

"BNI extends its sympathy to the communities in the areas affected by the activity of Mount Anak Krakatau. We are striving to provide the necessary support, particularly in helping to meet the community's health needs while this situation persists," said Okki in a written statement.

BNI's assistance was distributed to a number of beneficiaries in South Lampung, including RSIA Hidayah Ibu in Kalianda, the Rajabasa Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Rajabasa, and residents of Neighborhood 06 Way Urang in Way Urang.

This support is expected to help healthcare facilities maintain service readiness while assisting the community in meeting their health needs amidst the ongoing activity of Mount Anak Krakatau.

BNI also continues to coordinate with various parties to monitor the evolving situation and identify the ongoing needs of the community in the affected areas.

"This assistance reflects BNI's care for the community. We hope the support provided helps meet residents' needs while also enabling healthcare facilities to remain ready to deliver services," said Okki.

As a state-owned enterprise within the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BNI continues to fulfill its social role by remaining present in the community, including during emergencies and disasters. This commitment aligns with the spirit of BNI’s 80th anniversary, Swadharma Bhakti Nagara, to continue contributing to society and the nation.
