Jakarta, February 18, 2019 — In line with its #BNItuDigital campaign, State-owned lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is continuing to innovate digital systems for each of its products. As of Feb. 1, 2019, all members of the public can apply online for the bank’s mortgage product, BNI Griya, through an online application form (e-Form).
BNI Retail Banking Director Tambok P. Setyawati stated in Jakarta on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, that the BNI Griya e-Form feature was BNI’s offering to the general public. Anyone could use the e-Form to easily apply for a mortgage, especially those of the gadget-savvy millennial generation.
Applying for a BNI Griya was as easy as completing the e-Form on the bank’s website (www.bni.co.id) or through the BNI Mobile Banking app. Tambok added that the online application form was simple and brief, and offered the facility to upload personal documents like the personal identification card (KTP) and the Tax ID Number (NPWP).
"In addition, the BNI Griya e-Form can also be accessed through online property agencies that collaborate with BNI. This means that applying for a mortgage can be done easily while choosing the property to be financed,” said Tambok. “After the online application form has been submitted, the prospective debtor will receive a real-time email notification containing the BNI Griya online application code for speedy confirmation of the BNI Griya e-Form. Furthermore, BNI Marketing [staff] will contact prospective debtors in completing the next process until the loan has been approved," he said.
"In 2018, the BNI Griya portfolio grew 10%, increasing to IDR 40.8 trillion compared to the previous year. With the e-Form as a new alternative channel for BNI Griya applications, we are optimistic that 2019 growth [in the product] will exceed the previous year’s realization," he added.
BNI also has a special program for millennial customers: the BNI Griya Gue, an attractive two-year fixed rate mortgage that starts at 6.75% per annum. It also offers flexible installments and loan terms of up to 30 years. BNI is collaborating with leading developer partners to offer a varying range of special programs.
