Jakarta, May 3, 2019 – State insurance company PT Jasa Raharja is working with publicly listed state lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) to increase the amount of funds it collects from the public vehicle insurance premium payment (IWKBU) through e-collection. Such digitalization is being carried out in order to keep up with technology developments and to build a cashless society.
The cooperation was marked with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the "Use of Integrated Cash Management Services" between BNI institutional relations director Adi Sulistyowati and Jasa Raharja president director Budi Rahardjo Slamet and the signing of a cooperation agreement on the "Use of Integrated Cash Management Services" between BNI institutional relations director Adi Sulistyowati and Jasa Raharja finance director Myland in Jakarta on Friday, May 3, 2019.
Adi Sulistyowati, who is familiarly called Susi, explained that the integrated cash management service provided by BNI was intended to assist Jasa Raharja's financial management so that Jasa Raharja could maintain its financial position effectively and efficiently meet its operational and liquidity needs. With the amount of accident compensation increased to 100 percent, a method is needed to accelerate the company’s fund collection. This e-collection system is being implemented at Jasa Raharja to accelerate the collection of funds to support the company’s smooth operation.
"The implementation of this integrated e-collection system will provide more benefits for Jasa Raharja, including the data on insurance premium payment from public buses/rental cars, and the status of motorized vehicles can be monitored in real time. This system will improve the accountability of Jasa Raharja’s financial management," said Susi.
The virtual account facility is also integrated directly with Jasa Raharja’s JR-Ku application. Through the JR-Ku application, the owners of public buses/rental cars can directly pay the public vehicle insurance premium through a virtual account number that is created automatically by entering the vehicle’s registered police number and the identity of the buses/rental cars.
With this synergy, Jasa Raharja can obtain revenue from the insurance premium more quickly. This program will be one of the strategic programs to strengthen and expand the BNI network in improving banking services and can optimize banking services in terms of services and capabilities.
"BNI Virtual Accounts will make it easier for public transportation operators to pay the insurance premium from any bank, not only from BNI accounts. The Debt Virtual Accounts also make it easier for Jasa Raharja to pay compensation to accident victims and pay for the hospital treatment without having to open a bank account. In addition, BNI also has the BNI Cash Management system to help Jasa Raharja monitor all financial transactions and manage its finances. In the future, BNI and Jasa Raharja will continue to improve services for the public," Susi concluded.
