Jakarta, 23 April 2020 --- The holy month Ramadan 1441 Hijri has come. Begins on Friday, 24 April 2020, Muslims fast. This year's fasting month is special because it coincides with the outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic. However, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) emphasized that it continues to serve customers and the public who need financial transactions with service hours at 09.00 - 14.00 of the local time.
“We set the service operation hour by considering government’s direction to implement the protocols to suppress the acceleration of the spread of Covid - 19,” said the Service and Network Director of BNI, Adi Sulistyowati in Jakarta, Thursday (23 April 2020).
With the adjustment of the operational hour, customers are expected to note particular transaction service hour such as Trade and Foreign Exchange transaction. Trade transaction will be served at 09.00 – 12.00 of the local time, while Foreign Exchange transaction will be served at 09.00 – 13.00 of the local time. In the mean time for Cash Transaction, Clearing, Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), remittance, and bank guarantee can be served at 09.00 – 14.00 of the local time.
BNI emphasizes to continue on implementing all protocols of Covid -19 handling at banking hall, including queuing arrangement or customer seating in accordance with physical distancing efforts. In addition, temperature checking for all customers who will conduct transactions at BNI outlets, placing more hand sanitizers since before entering the banking hall, and providing hand washing facilities in several locations that are easily visible and easily accessible.
Adi Sulistyowati, who is familiarly called Susi, suggests customers to use BNI electronic services, namely BNI Mobile Banking, SMS Banking, Internet Banking, or BNI Direct. BNI provides services that are almost the same as those provided at transactions at outlets through tellers. One example is transfer transaction through BNI Mobile Banking can reach Rp. 400 million. Not only that, many transactions can be done at home, ranging from shopping, top-up credit, to routine bill payments.
