PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is sending off more than 7,000 travelers as part of the Mudik Gratis BUMN 2026 program, as part of its efforts to ensure a smooth Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow while also providing services to the community. This program demonstrates BNI's commitment to providing public services with the spirit of Wholehearted Service.
A total of 1,500 travelers departed on Tuesday (03/17/2026) in a send-off ceremony held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Ring Road in Jakarta, along with several other state-owned enterprises (BUMN). The event carried the theme "Comfortable Homecoming Together: Safe Homecoming, Sharing Hope."
The release ceremony was attended by the Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency Dony Oskaria, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency Tedi Bharata, Managing Director of Stakeholder Management BPI Danantara Rohan Hafas and leaders of state-owned enterprises including BNI Deputy President Director Alexandra Askandar.
Alexandra said BNI's participation in this program is part of the company's contribution to supporting community mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"Through the Mudik Gratis BUMN 2026 program, BNI wants to make it easier for people to return to their hometowns safely and comfortably. This program also demonstrates our concern so that people can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their beloved families," said Alexandra in a written statement.
In addition to departures from GBK, BNI also operates other departure points, namely from BNI Region 10 in Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, BNI Region 12 on Jalan Lada, West Jakarta, BNI Region 14 at Plaza BNI BSD, South Tangerang, and BNI Region 15 in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta.
Travelers will depart on five main routes: Jakarta–Purwokerto, Jakarta–Semarang, Jakarta–Yogyakarta (via Solo), Jakarta–Surabaya, and Jakarta–Malang (via Surabaya). All journeys will take the Cikampek and Trans Java toll roads, with exit points determined by their destination cities.
To ensure a comfortable journey, program participants also received homecoming equipment packages distributed on March 14, 2026, at Grha BNI in Jakarta. Program registration was previously open from February 27 to March 9, 2026, with re-registration scheduled for March 12–13, 2026.
Alexandra hopes this program will help people enjoy a safer, more comfortable, and more organized homecoming trip. "BNI hopes that travelers will arrive safely at their hometowns and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families happily," she said.
By participating in the Mudik Gratis BUMN 2026 program, BNI affirms its role in supporting social programs that directly benefit the community. This initiative is expected to not only help smooth the flow of homecoming travelers but also strengthen BNI's presence as an institution that actively serves the community wholeheartedly.
