(14-6-2024) - JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is holding an Empathy Drop Box program to welcome its 78th Anniversary which falls on July 5, 2024. This program is a manifestation of BNI's concern for the environment by supporting the zero textile waste movement and helping people who need decent clothing.
Through this program, BNI invites the public to donate clothes or other textile items (such as lanyards, shopping bags and others) that are unused and still suitable. The donated items will be recycled and upcycled to then be donated to people in need.
BNI Network and Services Director, Ronny Venir, said that the BNI Empathy Drop Box is a solution to encourage people to share with each other and also help preserve the environment.
Ronny conveyed that this program will sort the collected clothing through recycling cycle, enhancing the utility value of the textile items so that they can be reused.
"BNI Empathy Drop Box is done to increase the utility value of unused clothing and textile goods to then be redistributed through a donation program. With this program, we can maintain environmental sustainability while helping people in need," said Ronny.
BNI provides Empathy Drop Box in various locations, namely BNI Head Office, BNI Regional Office, Ministry of SOEs, and BNI partner merchants such as SOGO Mall Emporium Pluit and Central Park. This program runs from June 14 to July 4, 2024.
"Let's donate clothes and stuff that are no longer used to the BNI Box of the Future in order to create a better environment for future generations. Together with BNI, let's realize our concern for others and the sustainability of the earth," said Ronny.
Previously, in the framework of its 77th anniversary last year, BNI successfully initiated social activities as a form of gratitude and concern for each other through the Empathy Drop Box program.
The BNI Empathy Drop Box program is designed with the meaning of providing comfort, enthusiasm, and a sense of connectedness, as well as spreading empathy and compassion to those in need.
