BNI Ventures Bridges Startups and Banks Through Match Arc Program

13/09/2024. BNI Ventures, a subsidiary of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI engaged in the venture capital industry, continues to expand its role in supporting the development of the startup ecosystem in Indonesia.

In collaboration with BLOCK71 and Innovation Factory, BNI Ventures organized a business matchmaking platform called Match Arc.

This activity aimed to connect startups with work units and subsidiaries under BNI Group, strengthening collaboration between the world of banking and technology.

This event not only opened up opportunities for cooperation between startups and corporations, but also created a space for broader innovation and synergy in the digital era.

BNI Ventures CEO Eddi Danusaputro explained that Match Arc provided an opportunity for startups to face business challenges through the latest technology-based solutions, such as artificial intelligence (AI), wealth management, and carbon footprint.

With the interactive format of the event, participants were able to easily identify synergies and collaboration opportunities.

“Through Match Arc, we wanted to be a connector that allows startups and corporations to collaborate to drive joint innovations that have a significant impact on digital transformation,” said Eddi.

Furthermore, Eddi added, the event also created a space for startups to interact and share experiences through networking sessions.

BNI Ventures is committed to continuing to facilitate sustainable collaboration between startups and business units in the future, with the aim of driving innovation in Indonesia's technology ecosystem.

In the event, BNI IT SEVP Victor Erico Korompis said, Match Arc has facilitated more than 94 business matchmaking sessions, creating synergy opportunities between various entities in the BNI Group.

This collaboration allows BNI to explore opportunities for strategic partnerships between banking needs and innovative solutions from startups.

“The Match Arc program has become an effective platform for BNI Group to explore strategic partnerships that are relevant to business needs,” explained Victor.

Invelli Solusindo Founder and CEO Robert Injaya welcomed this initiative. According to him, Match Arc not only expands the startup network in the banking industry, but also becomes a learning platform from the solutions brought by other startups.

“This is a very valuable opportunity to enrich the innovation ecosystem in Indonesia,” Robert said.

While Innovation Factory focuses on the Scale program, which connects startups with investors to leverage their business scale.

Through this collaboration, BNI Ventures hopes to continue to play a catalytic role in the digital development and transformation of the technology ecosystem in Indonesia.
