PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has shown its commitment in supporting President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita program. As part of efforts to strengthen corporate governance and eradicate corruption, BNI is actively implementing various strategic steps that have the full support of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo revealed that BNI has implemented the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) as part of the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2018 concerning National Strategy for Corruption Prevention.
This initiative, Okki continued, is consistent with President Prabowo's Asta Cita vision which emphasizes the importance of bureaucratic reform and corruption eradication. “BNI as a state-owned enterprise is required to have and implement SMAP. This is in line with the President's vision in fighting corruption as a whole,” Okki said.
As proof of seriousness, BNI has achieved SNI ISO 37001: 2016 certification for SMAP in various scopes of activity. The certification includes Procurement of Goods and Services (2020), Corporate Credit Segment (2022), and Pension Fund (2024). This certificate is valid until December 31, 2026.
BNI also managed to maintain the certification through a surveillance audit conducted by Tuv Nord Indonesia in December 2024. This audit stated that BNI's quality system has met the ISO 37001: 2016 standard, so that the certificate can be maintained.
In commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) on December 9, BNI conducted various educational campaigns. The HAKORDIA video was shown on BNI's internal communication media in Grha and Gedoeng BNI, publication materials from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) were disseminated to all regional offices and branches, and educational posters were published through BNI's social media. This step aims to increase the awareness of BNI employees, known as Hi-Movers, in fighting corruption and gratification.
BNI also enhances integrity commitment through the signing of integrity pact by all Hi-Movers. This pact includes 17 statements managed digitally through DIGI HC BNI as one of the implementations in supporting accountable business at BNI.
“Corruption is a common enemy because of its destructive impact. Let's take care of ourselves and take care of BNI. Hail integrity,” Okki concluded.
These strategic steps taken by BNI not only strengthen corporate governance but also support the creation of a clean, transparent and accountable work environment, in line with the spirit of reform promoted by the government.
