BSDE Receives Rp1 Trillion Loan Facility from BNI

Jakarta, Thursday (15/12/2022) -- PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk. or BSDE and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI agreed to work together for business development in realizing the potential for national economic expansion.

This was marked by the provision of a loan facility from BNI to BSDE worth Rp 1 trillion in the form of a term loan credit and a treasury line facility of US$ 2 million.

This facility can be used for business expansion or other corporate actions as well as a hedging instrument that can protect against the risk of exchange rate fluctuations amid the uncertainty of current global conditions.  

The ceremonial signing of this credit facility was carried out by the Head of Corporate Banking Division 1 I Made Sukajaya with Directors of Bumi Serpong Damai Lie Jani Harjanto, Hermawan Wijaya and Syukur Lawigena witnessed directly by BNI Consumer Banking Director Corina Leyla Karnalies at Grha BNI Sudirman, Thursday (15/12/2022).

"We are grateful for the support and cooperation between BNI and BSDE regarding the provision of this credit facility which we plan to use for business expansion or other corporate actions.  

The acquisition of the credit facility will directly support the company's business development along with the recovery of the economic sector and normalized community activities that have a positive impact on the growth of the property sector," said Lie Jani.

According to him, despite various issues ranging from recession, inflation, to the increase in Bank Indonesia's benchmark interest rate, the property sector continues to show a positive trend.

The industry is also able to continue to grow its business in supporting the acceleration of national economic recovery.

PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk. until the third quarter of 2022 was able to achieve pre-sales of IDR 6.7 trillion, the acquisition is equivalent to 87% of the annual target set at IDR 7.7 trillion by the leading developer member of Sinar Mas Land.

Supporting the Development of the Property Sector Business in Indonesia, Corina said the synergy between BNI and BSDE is the right moment to encourage business growth, improve performance, and also sales of BSDE which is the largest player in the property industry in Indonesia.  

In addition, the provision of this credit facility is a form of BNI's commitment as a national bank to support the development of the property sector business in Indonesi.

According to her, economic growth in Indonesia is still showing impressive performance until the third quarter of 2022.
