BNI Wins Two Awards from Bank Indonesia

Jakarta, 3 December 2020 --- The  Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI) 2020 is special for PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI. The Company received two awards at the same time from Bank Indonesia (BI), namely the Best Conventional Bank for Supporting Monetary Control in Rupiah and Foreign Currency and Award Recipient for Bank Participating in the National Clearing System of Bank Indonesia (SKNBI) and the Best National Black List Management Office (KPDHN) for Bank BOOK 3 and BOOK 4.

The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, witnessed the awarding of the two awards virtually in Jakarta, Thursday (3 December 2020), as part of a series of PTBI events which were also attended online by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and all cabinet members. Both awards were received by the President Commissioner of BNI, Agus DW Martowardojo and the President Director of BNI, Royke Tumilaar.

These awards are given annually as a form of appreciation and recognition by BI to its strategic partners who have supported the implementation of the central bank's duties. These awards also reflect the synergy between BI and economic actors, the Government, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) as an effort to support national economic recovery, while maintaining macroeconomic and financial system stability.

BNI won 2 of the 44 awards given by BI on this occasion. BI has prepared 13 award categories consisting of the fields of monetary stability and financial system management, payment systems and Rupiah currency management, MSME development and sharia financial economy, as well as supporters of Bank Indonesia policies and individual contributions.

Royke Tumilaar said, BNI has become one of the national banks that Bank Indonesia (BI) assesses to be able to continue to maintain its commitment to providing excellent service and value-added solutions for all customers and first choice partners. In order to maintain this commitment, BNI consistently continues to make continuous improvements in terms of performance, compliance, and corporate governance. This commitment paid off, one of which was marked by the BI award.

Funds transfer service through SKNBI is a clearing system of BI which includes Fund Transfer and Scheduled Clearing services, the final settlement of which is carried out nationally. Fund transfer services via BNI SKNBI can be enjoyed by customers throughout Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke with the support of more than 2,228 BNI outlets.
