Jakarta, 7 April 2022 -- Increased consumption and people's mobility during this year's Ramadan and Eid holidays will again increase the need for cash. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) is also making some preparations so that cash needs can be met while maintaining health protocols.p>
BNI's Corporate Secretary, Mucharom said, the company is currently preparing cash withdrawal locations for the public, namely at BNI ATMs, Cash Recycle Machines (CRM) and branches. Withdrawing cash at BNI is made easier because of the many variations of the withdrawal facilities.
In addition to serving cash withdrawals, BNI also proactively ensures and prepares backend service solutions on its digital channels. This is because the need for digital transactions is also projected to strengthen this year. Therefore, apart from digital channels such as ATM and CRM, BNI also provides robust services for digital transactions on BNI Mobile Banking. In addition to providing services such as QRIS, cash transfers, it is also worth trying the cardless cash withdrawal service which can be obtained after consulting with BNI customer service first.
The preparation of cash during the Ramadan and Eid holidays this year is an average of Rp 17.81 trillion per week. The fund is up 12.87% from the same period last year.
"We have prepared that, including if there is an additional joint leave, the need for cash will certainly be even higher. We will also anticipate withdrawals from beneficiaries of cash assistance programs from the government which will certainly increase the need for cash," he said.
Furthermore, Mucharom during the Ramadan and Eid holidays this time will also be followed by various customer appreciation and attention programs. BNI has rolled out many programs such as promos for purchasing airline tickets, hotels, shopping and dining at BNI's selected merchants. These programs are expected to help stimulate the growth of public consumption so that it has an impact on stronger economic growth.
In addition, according to him, the promo program during the Ramadan and Eid holidays this time will greatly encourage consumer financing product facilities, especially credit cards. This increased consumption confidence will be a momentum for credit card performance expansion which has been slowing since the last two years.
"With these various efforts, BNI is also optimistic that the volume of credit card transactions in the next 2 months can grow at least 5% annually, which has an impact on credit card outstanding growth of at least 1%," he added.
