Jakarta, Friday (16/12/2022) -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI is implementing a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to welcome Christmas and New Year. The CSR program is themed "Jump Higher to Achieve Christmas Peace" which reflects BNI's spirit to welcome Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023.
BNI distributed a total of 34,000 food packages to all BNI working areas in the form of rice, oil, sugar, instant noodles, tea and other necessities worth a total of Rp 8.07 billion. All of them were distributed through operational branch offices and Regional Offices. These food packages are intended for underprivileged communities including orphans, the elderly, widows, and others. There is also the provision of assistance for church worship infrastructure. In addition, there will be a Christmas celebration and worship with orphans and poor people throughout the BNI regional offices.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo Budiprabowo revealed, in order to welcome Christmas 2022, BNI shared happiness and helped improve the welfare of underprivileged communities. This is a form of BNI's appreciation for the sustainable development goals (SDG's), namely Indonesia without poverty and without hunger.
"BNI's mission is to increase awareness and responsibility for the environment and society," he said in Jakarta, Monday (12/12/2022).
Okki stated that this program is carried out regularly every year in order to share love with others. He hopes that by taking the theme "Jump Higher to Achieve Christmas Peace" can maintain the peace of Christmas this year.
"May the peace of Christmas envelop all those who celebrate," said Okki.
