Jakarta, Thursday (16/2/2023) -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI consistently provides innovation and interesting buzz in each of its digital products. BNI released a special TapCash card designed by one of the most popular K-Pop groups under SM Entertainment today, known as NCT 127.
SM Entertainment Co., Ltd. is Korea's largest entertainment company founded in 1995. The company has developed and popularized many K-pop stars with large global fandoms and is known to have led the global K-pop phenomenon "Hallyu", also known as the "Korean Wave".
Representing the entertainment industry in Asia, SM Entertainment operates its own comprehensive entertainment business including artist development, record label services, talent agency services, music production, music release, event management, and concert production. Artists under SM Entertainment include SUPER JUNIOR, EXO, NCT, Red Velvet, and others.
BNI carried out the launching activity of the NCT 127 '2 Baddies' TapCash Card Special Design collaboration. Alfamart, is BNI's strategic partner for the sale of this NCT 127 '2 Baddies' special design TapCash card. BNI SEVP of Digital Business Rian Kaslan and Alfamart Marketing Director Ryan Alfons Kaloh present in person at the Main Atrium, Lotte Avenue, Jakarta, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
In his statement, BNI Deputy President Director Adi Sulistyowati revealed, in the first phase, NCT 127 '2 Baddies' special design TapCash is an officially licensed product using exclusive images that can only be obtained on TapCash BNI.
The back of the NCT127 '2 Baddies' TapCash staterpack is also equipped with a Hologram from SM Entertainment as a sign of product authenticity.
Electronic money/card issued by BNI has a function as a payment instrument for transactions such as toll payments, parking, transportation, and shopping at minimarkets.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with SM Entertainment, and hopefully satisfy the hearts of many K-pop fans, especially NCT 127 in Indonesia. The NCT 127 Special Design TapCash Card consists of 10 designs with specifications of nine individual photo designs and one group photo design," she said on Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Susi said, starting today, NCT127 '2 Baddies' TapCash can be purchased at all Alfamart outlets throughout Indonesia. To make it easier for users, TapCash can be topped up in many applications or other merchants such as BNI Mobile Banking and BNI ATMs.
"In the next phase, BNI will also release special TapCash designs with other artists/groups under SM Entertainment," he said.
NCT 127 is a K-Pop group under SM Entertainment that has high popularity with an Indonesian Fanbase that ranks 2nd largest in the world.
BNI utilizes this by working together with NCT 127 '2 Baddies's special edition TapCash Card.
"Hopefully this cooperation can continue and become a bridge for NCT 127 fans to get closer to their idols through the ownership of NCT 127 special design TapCash," she concluded.
Ryan Alfons Kaloh, Marketing Director of Alfamart shared, "Alfamart certainly welcomes being BNI's partner for the release of NCT127 TapCash, because the NCT127 TapCash can only be obtained at Alfamart."
He added that the K-Pop fan base in Indonesia is very large and quite enthusiastic about getting idol trinkets. So that the interest of the Indonesian people to get or use NCT127 TapCash must be very large too.
"Partnering with Alfamart is right because we are available almost in all parts of Indonesia even to remote areas, which can reach more people or NCT127 fans," Ryan explained.
