BNI's Transformation into a Game Changer for Digitization and Transaction Services

23/12/2023. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues its transformation to strengthen performance and services to customers.

This year, the company undertook organizational transformation with the formation of the Digital and Integrated Transaction Directorate to further strengthen digitization and transaction services.

Director of Digital & Integrated Transaction Banking, Corina Leyla Karnalies, explained that this new directorate separates the focus between IT and digital because the company will further strengthen digitization and bring BNI into a transaction bank.

"Since March 2023, we have Digital and Integrated Transaction Directorate, which is expected to be a game changer where we really focus on transactions and become a transaction bank," said Corina.

Corina said, with the establishment of the new directorate, BNI then wants to ensure that the channel and user experience that it has are in line with the targeted market.

One of the company's mainstay features in the wholesale platform sector is BNIDirect.

BNIDirect will be increasingly encouraged to strengthen its user experience, features and platform.

"These things we're fixing how to make this transaction really become one of the champions of our business," she said.

Currently, BNIDirect active users have reached 100%. The increase in transactions up to November 2023 also reached almost 99 million transactions or an increase of around 21% from last year. Transaction volume has also reached IDR 5,091 trillion, up around 21% from last year.

Through BNIDirect, BNI has succeeded in digitalizing the distribution of Health Operational Assistance (BOK) from the Ministry of Health to almost 9,600 community health centers that have been connected to BNIDirect this year.
