20/02/2024. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI, builds an office building with the concept of “The Icon of Emerald” in the business and commercial area in the Central Business District (CBD) Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang.
The building, which is erected on an area of more than 10,000 square meters, will be the first office building for a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) company in Indonesia to implement the green building concept certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
The BNI building is planned to have a building area of 81,000 square meters and will consist of three towers, namely Emerald Tower, Office Tower, and Facility Tower.
This building will function to serve BNI customers and as an office space, which is equipped with various exclusive features, including exclusive tenants, exclusive ballroom, sports facilities, sky lounge, and sky garden.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by SOE Minister Erick Thohir, President Director of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk. Novel Arsyad, President Director of BNI Royke Tumilaar, as well as BNI Directors and SEVPs on Tuesday (20/2/2024).
The construction of this building aims to optimize assets and efficiency of office space rental costs which continue to increase in line with the implementation of BNI's organizational development “New Way of Working” which is more agile and collaborative.
This building will be completed in the next two years, so that it can bring additional value for BNI and encourage the increase of added value to the national economy.
The PIK 2 area is an independent city area that has the potential to become a new business center with a well-designed environment, and making it one of the potential targets for BNI's business.
“The construction of the building with the green building concept is also to support the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in all aspects of the company,” said Royke.
As for the green building aspect, this is something that we are looking forward to. BNI has a program that involves setting a Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target for its operating activities by 2028.
