26/05/2024. The most mesmerizing jazz music event in Indonesia, the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival (JJF) 2024 has received appreciation from the government.
Special Staff III of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga appreciated the BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 which featured great Indonesian musicians to be able to compete with international musicians.
In his opinion, BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 should be appreciated for presenting world-class music quality.
Not only that, this event was able to unite across generations through the music performed.
“In the past, the music was heavy, so it was very segmented, now there is a lot more pop, and this attracts Gen Z because they also want simple music,” he said during a visit to the BNI Java Jazz 2024 location, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Sunday (26/5/2024).
Arya mentioned that the variety of music presented by BNI at the BNI JJF 2024 event was more diverse, allowing it to unify people of all ages, not just millennials. Generation Z (Gen Z) will also appreciate this event.
This is in line with BNI's role as a global bank that wants to show its existence through jazz music events.
On the other hand, said Arya, BNI also proved that through this event it could support the music and creative industries in the country.
“For the creative industry, support from BNI allows local bands to perform so that they can be well accommodated,” he said.
Arya hopes that this event will increase Indonesia's presence in the world.
“Hopefully next year more local musicians will be accommodated and the facilities will be more comfortable,” said Arya.
BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, for three consecutive days from Friday to Sunday, May 24 - 26, 2024.
Various national and international musicians were present to enliven the world-class jazz music stage. On this last day, Bebi Romeo Greatest Hits feat. Afgan & Moneva have performed and there was also a special performance from Snoh Aalegra.
Coldiac, Lalahuta, Rafi Sudirman, Project Pop, Nadhif Basalamah, Andien, and Tompi all performed on BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 final day, adding to the excitement. No less interesting, BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 also presented performances from international musicians such as Eddie Benjamin, Alex Teh, Ricky Montgomery and many more.
