(19/7/2024) - Encouraging MSMEs to penetrate the global market, Customs and Excise collaborates with BNI Xpora to hold FGD UMKM Export Series in Denpasar.
DENPASAR – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has once again demonstrated its commitment to empower Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to penetrate the global market and increase foreign exchange.
This time, BNI Region 08 Denpasar, through the BNI Xpora program, together with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise held a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) MSME Export Series with the theme “Logistics and Supply Chain for MSMEs” in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday (16/7/2024).
The FGD held in the State Finance Building (GKN) I Denpasar Hall was attended by 300 MSME exporters who are fostered partners of echelon 1 units of the Ministry of Finance, LPEI, and BNI customers.
BNI Denpasar Region Head Anak Agung Agustiya Novitayanti said, MSMEs as the backbone of the Indonesian economy have an important role in driving economic growth and increasing foreign exchange earnings.
BNI's participation in this event is BNI's commitment to support Indonesian MSMEs, especially in Bali, in increasing competitiveness and penetrating international markets, especially Hong Kong which has great potential.
“BNI is committed to continuing to support Indonesian MSMEs, especially those in Bali, to penetrate the global market and increase their competitiveness in the international arena, one of which is through this FGD UMKM Export Series,” said Novi.
The FGD was opened by the Head of DGCE Bali, NTB, and NTT Regional Office, Susila Brata, who was also a resource person from the MSME Working Group along with other speakers, Chairun Rezki (Head of Branch Bali and Nusa Tenggara DHL Express), Michael R. Lorenti Jr. (PT Sensatia Botanicals), Mr. Max The Cheung Wing (President of Hong Kong International of Federation Commerce), and Ayu Wulan Sagita (Indonesian Trade Attaché in Hong Kong).
The panel speakers shared insights and up-to-date information on supply chain and logistics practices for exporting goods. They equipped MSMEs with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively navigate the global market.
In addition to the presentation session, the forum also features a discussion session that allows MSMEs to exchange ideas and experiences, as well as get practical solutions to the various obstacles they face in running an export business.
Not only that, BNI also introduced BNI financial transaction solutions and the Xpora program to the participants. BNI also launched the latest mobile banking application, wondr by BNI as a means of transaction for all needs.
BNI Xpora is a special program designed to support MSMEs in developing their businesses and reaching international markets. Through a comprehensive range of services, such as training, mentoring, financing and facilitating global market access, BNI Xpora is expected to empower MSMEs to become global players that contribute significantly to Indonesia's economic development.
This MSME Export Series activity is an annual routine activity initiated by the Joint Program PokJa UMKM of Ministry of Finance One Bali Province. “BNI is committed to continuing to work with related agencies in organizing similar forums to reach more MSMEs and assist them in achieving success in the global market,” concluded Novi.
