PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI together with the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI - UI) will again present the most anticipated running event, BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024. The event, which will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the University of Indonesia Campus, Depok, presents 5K, 10K, and 21K (Half Marathon) categories with green and sterile routes in the campus environment.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo expressed, the theme of BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024 is 'The Greenest and Most Sterile Route Half Marathon.' This theme reflects the goal to provide a safe and comfortable running experience with a green and motor vehicle-free track in the UI campus environment.
According to Okki, BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024 is the right place for those who want to channel their interests and hobbies while being involved in social missions as well as a gathering event for the UI Alumni Association. BNI and ILUNI UI are targeting around 10,000 participants to participate in this event.
“This BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024 activity has been carried out five times, since 2017 and this is the sixth time, where BNI always provides support by becoming the title sponsor of this activity,” Okki said in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/8/2024).
Present at the press conference were BNI Institutional Banking Director Munadi Herlambang, BNI Retail Banking Director Corina Leyla Karnalies, and Head of Institutional Banking Division 2 Efrizal Pollo. Also present were UI Vice Rector for Human Resources and Assets Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedi Priadi, DEA, Vice Rector for Research and Investment - drg. Nurtami, Ph.D., Sp,OF(K), and Iluni UI Chairman Didit Hidayat A. Ratam.
The press conference also featured a talk show and Q&A session with BNI Institutional Banking 2 Division Leader Efrizal, Director of Graduate Career Development and UI Alumni Relations Ahmad Syafiq, Race Director BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024 Fredi Hendra Jaya, and Influencer Runner Momo Moriska.
As part of the event, a symbolic jersey was handed over by ILUNI UI Chairman Didit Hidayat A. Ratam to BNI Institutional Banking Director Munadi Herlambang and BNI Retail Banking Director Corina Leyla Karnalies. In addition, BNI also handed over the Makara Investasi UI donation in the amount of IDR200 million to UI, as well as the special edition Tapcash BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024.
In order to promote the event, the committee has organized several pre-event titled Road to BNI-UI Half Marathon 2024 in several cities at home and abroad, including Paris, Jakarta, Bali, Bandung and Palembang.
