The wondr BrightUp Cup 2025 event organized by PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has once again become an exciting sportainment event that has captured the public's attention. The event, which took place at Hall A Basket Senayan, Jakarta, on December 5, 2025, featured a combination of cross-sport exhibition matches and musical performances as part of BNI's efforts to strengthen the national sports ecosystem.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the BrightUp Cup is a manifestation of BNI's consistent support for sports development while providing entertainment that can reach a wider audience.
“This event not only showcases Indonesia's best athletes, but also provides a space for closer interaction between athletes and the public through a fresh new concept of sportainment,” Okki said in a written statement.
This event brought together a number of top Indonesian badminton athletes, including Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Hendra Setiawan, and Marcus Gideon. In addition, two young athletes, Raymon Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin — the Australian Open Men's Doubles Champions 2025 — were also taking part, emphasizing the role of this event in providing a platform for the next generation of talent.
The wondr BrightUp Cup 2025 also featured cross-sport collaborations through the participation of basketball players Daniel Wenas and Kelly Purwanto, as well as soccer players Andritany Ardhiyasa and Witan Sulaeman. Their presence added a different flavor and creates a more inclusive dynamic for the show.
As part of its support for the use of digital services, BNI also opened an interactive booth and presented various activities and culinary tenants that utilize the wondr by BNI payment system. This initiative also encourages digital transaction education and strengthens the digital lifestyle ecosystem, which is the focus of the company's development.
The event was closed with musical performances from Silet Open Up and Juicy Luicy, which added value to the entire program. The entertainment stage complemented and strengthened the positioning of the wondr BrightUp Cup as BNI's annual sportainment event.
Okki added that BNI will continue to expand its contribution in supporting Indonesian sports development through a collaborative approach and the use of digital technology.
“BNI will continue to present various initiatives to support the sustainable development of national sports,” said Okki.
Overall, the implementation of the BrightUp Cup 2025 reflected BNI's commitment to strengthening the sports ecosystem, expanding the reach of digital services, and presenting programs that can encourage public participation and appreciation for the achievements of national athletes.
