PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to strengthen its commitment to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, in line with the spirit of National Education Day (Hardiknas), which is celebrated every May 2.
One of BNI’s concrete initiatives is the provision of scholarships to students in need who excel academically, while also supporting the development of high-caliber and competitive human resources.
From 2025 through April 2026, the scholarships distributed by BNI Berbagi have reached more than 1,000 students at various educational levels, ranging from elementary school through college.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that through BNI Berbagi, the Company consistently and continuously supports the government in promoting equitable access to education throughout Indonesia.
“National Education Day serves as a reminder to all of us that education is the cornerstone of building the nation's future. BNI remains committed to being present and making a tangible contribution to improving the quality of education in Indonesia,” Okki said in a written statement.
Okki went on to say that this initiative focuses not only on improving academic skills, but also on building character and financial literacy so that the public is better prepared to face future economic challenges.
This program is also accompanied by mentoring and educational activities to ensure that the benefits received are optimal and sustainable. BNI is also committed to expanding the program’s reach to 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) regions in Indonesia.
“BNI is committed to continuing to expand the reach of this program so that its benefits can be felt by a wider audience across Indonesia,” Okki emphasized.
Through these various initiatives, BNI hopes to make a significant contribution to fostering a generation that excels academically and possesses strong character for Indonesia’s future.
