PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) urges the public to be wary of false information circulating on social media that claims to be from the company regarding the 'rejeki wondr BNI – Lucky Draw' program, held in conjunction with the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo emphasized that the information does not constitute an official program or communication issued by BNI.
"We wish to inform you that the information circulating on social media regarding the 'rejeki wondr BNI – Prize Draw' program—purportedly held in conjunction with Indonesia's 81st anniversary—is not an official BNI program and is confirmed to be false information or a hoax," said Okki in a written statement.
BNI advises the public not to follow the instructions contained in the post, especially if directed to access specific links, conduct transactions, pay fees, or provide personal information and banking data under the pretext of receiving a prize.
Okki emphasized that BNI never charges any fees to program winners. Official information regarding the program, promotions, and winner announcements is communicated solely through BNI's official channels.
"Customers need to be wary of various fraud schemes that exploit BNI's name or programs. BNI never requests confidential customer information—such as PINs, OTP codes, or CVVs—via links, text messages, social media, or other communication channels," said Okki.
BNI also urges customers to always verify the source of information before participating in programs or promotions claiming to be from the company. BNI's official website can be accessed at www.bni.co.id, while information regarding programs and promotions is also available through BNI's official social media channels.
As part of customer protection efforts, BNI continues to increase education and awareness of various modes of digital fraud that utilize company identities and programs.
