BNI Strengthens HR Governance through LSP and ISO Certification

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is strengthening its human resource development governance through the operation of the BNI Professional Certification Institute (LSP)—licensed by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP)—and the implementation of international standards at BNI Corporate University.

This strengthening is marked by BNI Corporate University obtaining the LSP BNI license certificate from BNSP, the ISO 21001:2018 certificate, and the ISO 30422:2022 Letter of Compliance.

These three achievements were formalized during a ceremony at Grha BNI, Jakarta, on August 6, 2026. BNSP Chairman Syamsi Hari presented the LSP BNI license certificate to BNI’s Director of Human Capital & Compliance, Munadi Herlambang.

LSP BNI obtained its license from BNSP on June 19, 2026. With this license, LSP BNI is able to conduct work competency certification in a professional, objective, independent, and accountable manner, in accordance with applicable competency standards.

In the initial phase, LSP BNI offers seven certification schemes covering strategic areas, ranging from general banking to internal audit. The scope of certification will subsequently be expanded in line with industry developments, including areas such as digital banking, artificial intelligence, risk management, and information technology.

BNI Director of Human Capital & Compliance Munadi Herlambang stated that the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) plays a crucial role in ensuring that employee competency development is carried out in a measurable manner and remains relevant to the needs of the banking industry.

"LSP BNI serves as a vital foundation for developing competent human resources while strengthening corporate governance. Competency certification ensures that every member of the BNI workforce upholds professional standards capable of supporting the company's business transformation," said Munadi in a written statement.

In addition to strengthening competency certification, BNI Corporate University obtained the ISO 21001:2018 certificate on May 15, 2026, and the ISO 30422:2022 Letter of Compliance on August 4, 2026.

This recognition affirms the implementation of learning and talent development governance that is increasingly systematic, learner-centric, and aligned with international best practices.

According to Munadi, BNI will continue to enhance the quality and capabilities of the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) so that it not only supports internal needs but also serves as a benchmark for human resource development within the national banking industry.

Strengthening this learning and certification ecosystem aligns with the direction of SOE transformation under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia, which prioritizes people development, corporate culture, innovation, and value creation as key elements in building state-owned enterprises that are increasingly healthy, competitive, and globally capable.

By strengthening learning systems, competency certification, and the implementation of international standards, BNI strives to ensure that talent development becomes increasingly measurable and aligned with industry needs, while also supporting business transformation and long-term value creation.
