BNI Commemorates National Customer Day, Embracing the Spirit of 80 Years of Serving Wholeheartedly

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is reinforcing its commitment to consistently delivering excellent service to customers in conjunction with National Customer Day (Harpelnas) 2026. Under the theme "80 Years of Serving Wholeheartedly," BNI has mobilized its management team—ranging from the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners to Senior Executive Vice Presidents (SEVPs)—to greet and interact directly with customers across various regions.

The presence of the management team reflects BNI's commitment to drawing closer to its customers while gaining a better understanding of their needs and expectations. This occasion also serves as a reminder to the entire BNI team members that service quality is vital to upholding the trust that has been built together over eight decades.

BNI President Commissioner Omar Sjawaldy Anwar stated that customer trust is a responsibility that must be upheld through sincere service and genuine care. According to him, BNI’s 80-year journey reflects not merely the company's longevity, but also its consistency in maintaining trust and serving the community across generations.

"Customer trust is a responsibility we must uphold through sincere service, genuine care, and a commitment to always deliver our best," said Omar in a written statement.

Meanwhile, BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan added that the spirit of service must be built upon integrity, consistently applied in every aspect of work. "Integrity is not merely a value; it must serve as the foundation for every decision and action we take," Putrama said in a written statement.

According to Putrama, this principle aligns with BNI’s journey as an institution born of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia that continues to contribute to the nation's progress.

This spirit is reflected in the values of Swadharma Bhakti Nagara, as well as Seva, Karya, and Raksa (three values in BNI’s Culture Pathway), which serve as the foundation for BNI employees to serve sincerely, work professionally, and uphold the trust placed in the company.

As a state-owned enterprise within Indonesia’s Danantara ecosystem, BNI continues to strengthen its service culture and governance as the foundation for driving its corporate transformation. These efforts are aimed at ensuring BNI maintains its ability to deliver professional services while enhancing its contribution to society and the national economy.

"For 80 years, BNI has grown and moved forward alongside its customers. Customer trust and loyalty serve as the energy and drive for us to continue transforming, delivering services that are increasingly convenient, relevant, and aligned with customer needs," said Putrama.

BNI is using National Customer Day (Harpelnas) 2026 as a moment to reaffirm its commitment to customer service. Driven by the spirit of "80 Years of Serving Wholeheartedly," BNI will continue to enhance service quality, uphold integrity, and build long-term relationships with customers as part of the company's journey ahead.
