Jakarta, 8 February 2020 --- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI maximizes the momentum of the National Press Day (HPN) 2020 commemoration to increase the competence of journalists, inspire the entrepreneurial spirit of the media crew, to develop the capacity of small and micro businesses (SMEs).
The 2020 HPN commemoration took place in the South Kalimantan Province, commonly known as Bumi Lambung Mangkurat. HPN 2020 is held in 2 cities simultaneously, namely in the cities of Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru.
This year, the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) once again cooperated with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) in organizing the HPN 2020. Not limited to support for the HPN 2020 highlight event, BNI also solidified its support for the quality journalism world.
The support was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chairperson of PWI, Atal S Depari and the Corporate Business Director of BNI, Putrama Wahju Setyawan, in Banjarbaru, Saturday (February 8, 2020). The MoU was also carried out by the Network and Services Director of BRI, Ahmad Solihin Lutfiyanto, the Managing Director of Bulog, Budi Waseso, and the Director of Astra International, Pongki Pamungkas.
Also witnessing the signing was the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the Chairman of MPR, Bambang Soesatyo, the Chairman of DPR, Puan Maharani, and ranks of the Cabinet Minister Indonesia Maju.
Atal S Depari said that the media must do business in a healthy manner while continuing to function as an information seeker. Useful content about Indonesia will attract investors.
"Mr. President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, once said that Indonesian DNA is culture. UNESCO also mentioned that Indonesia is a Super Power Country in terms of culture. Of course, we should be grateful, "said Atal.
Putrama Wahju Setyawan said BNI fully supports the journalists who have contributed a lot to Indonesia, including BNI. Not only supporting the highlight of the HPN 2020 celebration, BNI also conducted training and competency tests for journalists.
"On the last 6 February, BNI invited journalists to an entrepreneurship training at Banjarbaru SOEs home. BNI presented 3 business owners as speakers namely ABBA Chocolate Owner, Bobby Bahrul IMM, Rumah Pengarang Owner, Narwanto, and NDF Sasirangan Owner, Nisa Rudho, and the Purun Weaving Business Group, coordinated by Bertha," Putrama said..
Putrama added, besides that BNI also supported journalists' competency test in order to produce quality press members. Surely there will be many BNI supports for the media industry in the future.
