Denpasar, 13 June 2020 --- The impact of Covid-19 outbreak on the community economy is quite significant. Mutual cooperation and mutual assistance from various parties is needed to ease the burden on the people affected by Covid-19. Encouraged by the sense of caring and wanting to help others, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to channel aid, including food aid and personal protective equipment (PPE).
This time the aid is distributed by the BNI Denpasar Regional Office which coordinates operations in the work areas of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). PPE assistance is channeled to Covid-19 referral hospital with the primary goal of medical staff. The food package assistance is distributed to residents affected by Covid-19 in Bali.
BNI Leader of Bali Regional Office, Nusra I Made Sukajaya on the sidelines of the delivery of food package assistance at BNI Regional Office Denpasar, Saturday (13/6) said, the handover of the assistance during Covid-19 pandemic period was packaged in the form of "BNI Berbagi" program. This program was rolled out as a form of BNI's support for humanitarian programs to government together with the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling.
Up to now, for Bali region, BNI has distributed more than 10,000 food aid packages which are expected to be able to ease the burden on Balinese people who are affected by Covid-19.
In this occasion the assistance was handed-over to Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjok Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati who is also the Chairman of PHRI Bali, I.G.N Kesuma Kelakan, the Chairman of Provincial HKTI, Putu Arya Sedhana as well as the Chairman of SOEs Covid Task Force Bali, I Wayan Eka Saputra.
"In the pandemic period, BNI alerts its digital services that allow transactions to occur without direct interaction with bank employees. BNI Mobile Banking, BNI Internet Banking, BNI SMS Banking and ATM BNI can be utilized by customers for 24 hours. Even for people who need consulting services, we are ready at the BNI Call Center at 1500046," Sukajaya said.
