Jakarta, 10 January 2021 -- In order to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus, government has implemented a Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) in parts of Java and Bali from 11-25 January 2021. One of them is that the financial sector must continue to operate as an essential service provider. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) emphasized that it is ready to provide banking services while still implementing strict health protocols.
BNI has arranged for a balance between service optimization and security for employees and customers in having transaction. One of the steps taken is to divert the operations of some outlets in cities and regencies that are required to implement PPKM at least 30%, thereby reducing potential crowds and physical distancing violation.
In Jakarta, Sunday (10 January 2021), BNI’s Corporate Secretary, Mucharom said that adjustments are made according to government instructions stipulating essential sectors remain 100% operational with more stringent regulation of operating hours, capacity and implementation of health protocols.
"We also implement employee work shifts and shorter operating hours in the red zones. Outlets in the red zones operate from 09.00 - 15.00, while in non-red zone areas from 08.00 - 15.00 of local time," he said.
"The complete and up-to-date information regarding BNI branches that operate can be accessed at the link https://bni.co.id/id-id/kontak/lokator/cabangberoperasi,” said Mucharom .
Mucharom also said, BNI advises customers to optimize the use of BNI e-channel services, so that they can continue to transact from anywhere and anytime safely. Use BNI Mobile Banking which can serve many transactions. If assistance related to services is needed, BNI Call is also ready to help customers 24 hours at 1500046.
For customers’ safety and convenience, BNI ensures that it has implemented health protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in branch offices. These protections include body temperature checking of everyone who enters the branch office, distributing hand sanitizers, implementing disinfectants when the office is not operating, and prohibiting BNI employees and their families from traveling to countries that are reported to be the locations of the COVID-19 outbreak.
