Jakarta, 3 January 2022 -- PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. (BNI) is committed to being more aggressive in supporting digitalization on campuses. This time, BNI, nicknamed the Campus Bank, supports the Computer-Based Writing Examination Institute for Higher Education Entrance Test (UTBK LTMPT) 2022.
In 2022, 125 campuses have joined the LTMPT, namely 74 State University Chancellors, 1 Open University Chancellor, 11 UIN Chancellors and 39 State Polytechnic Directors.
This collaboration is expected to support the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Examination for Higher Education Entrance Test Institutions in order to advance and improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding was held on Monday, 3 January 2022 between LTMPT and Himbara Partner Banks such as BNI, Mandiri, BTN and BRI as new player.
BNI is one of the earliest Himbara Banks to provide UTBK LTMPT services, since 2015. Meanwhile, the number of UTBK participants who paid registration fees through BNI in the early year reached 279,901 registrants with a registration fund of Rp 27.99 billion. This figure increased significantly to reach 468,912 with a registration fund of Rp 93.78 billion.
During the pandemic, it was recorded to decrease, but it has shown an increasingly significant increase. The number of UTBK participants who paid registration fees through BNI in 2021 reached 250,404 with a registration fund of Rp. 51.84 billion.
On this occasion present, the Head of the Institutional Relations Division 2 of BNI, Arya Prajaka, the General Chairperson of LTMPT (ITS Chancellor), Mochamad Ashari, the Deputy Chancellor 1 of Andalas University, Yuliandri, and the Deputy Chancellor 2 of Gorontalo State University, Eduart Wolok.
This event was also witnessed by the Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Nizam, the Director General of Vocational Education, Wikan Sakarinto, the Chairperson of Chancellor Council of Indonesian State Universities as well as the Chancellor of UNS, Jamal Wiwoho and the Chairperson of the Forum Director of State Polytechnic, Ahmad Taqwa.
The Corporate Secretary of BNI, Mucharom conveyed the cooperation between BNI and LTMPT has been running since 2015 as one of the Himbara partner banks that always support UTBK LTMPT activities from year to year.
BNI continues to improve services and make it easier for prospective UTBK participants to accept registration fees for UTBK LTMPT through e-channels such as Mobile Banking, SMS Banking, ATM, Internet Banking, Agent 46 and BNI Outlets throughout the country in an effort to reach areas in all corners of the country.
"We hope that with the closer cooperation between BNI and LTMPT in the future, BNI can always provide support for the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Examination for Higher Education Entrance Test Institutions in order to advance and improve the quality of education in Indonesia," he said.
Furthermore, Mucharom said that BNI has always been proactive in collaborating with many universities to create a cashless society through the Campus Financial Ecosystem.
