PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (stock code: BBNI) as a pioneer in digital banking, collaborates with the North Sulawesi Provincial Government in the use of banking service facilities and support for the Smart Province Program. On this occasion, BNI also collaborates with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah North Sulawesi and Gorontalo in terms of institutional cooperation.
The signing of this joint agreement was carried out by the Governor of North Sulawesi Province Olly Dondokambey together with BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar. Followed by a joint agreement by Bank Sulut President Director Go Revino Pepah with BNI Deputy President Director Adi Sulistyowati in Manado on Tuesday (04/10/2022).
On this occasion, BNI also provided CSR in the form of Waste Processing Machines and also Smart Province Cooperation in North Sulawesi, and received a Muri Record, namely Smart City with the most Facility Components for Local Governments
Revino Pepah said that Bank SulutGo is encouraged to capture opportunities for regional economic growth by spurring innovation and stronger digital access to customers in Sulawesi region.
Through this cooperation, he believes BNI and Bank SulutGo can support the improvement of their respective service operations through the utilization of products and services.
"We certainly appreciate BNI for opening up opportunities for cooperation with us. Of course this will be an opportunity for us to strengthen Bank SulutGo's digital transformation and provide new prepositition value for our customers," he said.
Royke Tumilaar said the implementation of Smart Province is also a form of BNI's support to all regency and city governments towards 100 Smart Cities.
Through synergy with Bank SulutGo, BNI believes it can support the financial governance of the Regional Government and economic development in North Sulawesi Province.
This movement aims to guide regencies/cities in developing a Smart City Master Plan so that they can maximize the use of technology, both in improving community services and accelerating the potential that exists in each region.
"BNI is committed to supporting the acceleration of digitization and services that are more effective, efficient, transparent, and value-added for all people, especially the people of North Sulawesi," he said.
Royke explained that BNI will help bring together various stakeholders in building a smart ecosystem with a broad scope in government, business and consumers.
BNI will also assist the implementation of smart government for Regional Government financial system information management solutions, solutions for receiving various types of taxes or revenues, and payment solutions.
In the meantime, smart economy includes market ecosystem, agricultural ecosystem, fishermen ecosystem, BUMDES ecosystem and BNI Xpora program to support the performance of Go Global MSMEs.
