BNI's Foreign Office Loans Grow 10.8%

1/11/2023. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to record positive loan growth in overseas offices (KLN).

As of the third quarter of 2023, BNI has disbursed loans amounting to IDR 21.77 trillion or grew 10.8% on an annual basis (YoY).

BNI Wholesale & International Banking Director Silvano Rumantir said that this achievement is part of the company's position as a bank with a global mandate.

"I am very pleased that BNI Overseas Offices were able to record a good loan, allowing them to contribute to BNI Group's operations. "We are optimistic that the loan trend will continue to improve," Silvano stated.

Silvano explained, several strategies carried out by BNI to increase KLN credit include acquiring business groups, suppliers, buyers of BNI Head Office debtors.

Then the company is also becoming more active in participating in Top Tier syndicated loans.

In addition, the company offers funding for specific supply chain financing schemes as well as financing for investment grade of non-Indonesian related projects.

“We have a total of 7 Overseas Offices (KLN) which are currently spread across London, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam which continue to proactively build business ecosystems, as well as diasporas to support sustainable performance,” he concluded.
