24/04/2024. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI and Diponegoro University (UNDIP) established a strategic partnership in order to strengthen the financial ecosystem in the campus environment.
This synergy was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Higher Education Financial Ecosystem Program and Akad Wakalah (Agreement) for Defined Contribution Pension Program Services and Fund Distribution between BNI and UNDIP, at the UNDIP Rectorate Conference Room, Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday, March 27, 2019 (23/4/2024).
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Akad Wakalah (Agreement) was carried out directly by UNDIP Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama S.H., M.H., with BNI Head of Institutional Banking Division 2 Efrizal, BNI Financial Institution Pension Fund Administrator Endhy Maryantono, accompanied by BNI Pension Fund Division Leader Ikhwani Fauzana, and witnessed by BNI Institutional Banking Director Munadi Herlambang.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo explained, this collaboration is a form of BNI's commitment in providing comprehensive banking services to meet the needs of the UNDIP academic community.
"Through this collaboration, BNI will present various innovative and easily accessible financial solutions, such as consumer product services, consumer loan facilities, Financial Institution Pension Fund services, and various other financial solutions," said Okki.
He added, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the Higher Education Financial Ecosystem Program aims to create a more financially inclusive and educated environment for the entire UNDIP academic community.
"We want to improve financial literacy and inclusion among UNDIP students and staff, so that they can utilize financial products and services wisely and responsibly," Okki affirmed.
As for one example of the services offered, continued Okki, are services from the BNI Financial Institution Pension Fund (DPLK) which is committed to providing the best service for its participants.
DPLK BNI is also the largest DPLK in Indonesia with assets reaching IDR28.6 trillion as of December 2023. "DPLK BNI has more than 29 years of experience and has the highest total market share of 21.42%," he added.
He emphasized that DPLK BNI prioritizes information transparency to participants through various digital channels, such as online account opening, participant fund inquiry through BNI Mobile Banking, Simponi mobile, and DPLK BNI Website (https://dplk.bni.co.id/).
Previously, BNI and UNDIP had collaborated on various matters, such as Student UKT (Single Tuition Fee) payments through Virtual Account and SPC, cash management system, use of VA Debit, employee payroll management, consumer loans for employees, affinity credit cards, use of EDC and QRIS.
"This collaboration provides benefits in the form of financial transactional solutions for UNDIP, education payment solutions for students, and payments in the campus ecosystem," Okki explained.
He hopes that this collaboration between BNI and UNDIP can make a positive contribution to the advancement of education in Indonesia. With strong synergy and collaboration, both institutions can help improve financial literacy and inclusion among the younger generation, while also promoting the nation's economic growth.
