24/05/2024. JAKARTA - BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024, one of the biggest jazz music festivals in Indonesia, officially opened today at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta. Thousands of jazz lovers packed the venue since the afternoon to witness the stunning performances of famous musicians.
On the first day, BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 presented a special performance from Erwin Gutawa Tribute to January Christy on the BNI Hall stage at 18.30 WIB. The performance of this Indonesian jazz music maestro brings back January Christy's hits with beautiful and soulful arrangements.
The atmosphere became even more lively when Ruth Sahanaya, Andien, Teddy Adhitya, and Teza Sumendra took the stage at 20.45 WIB. The collaboration of these divas and young musicians brought various jazz songs with a modern touch and extraordinary energy.
The climax, Incognito, a famed jazz trio from England, wrapped out the first day of the event with an intense and improvised performance at 22.45 WIB.
