BNI Consistently Collaborating MSME Go Global Program

(14/6/2024) - Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the main drivers of the Indonesian economy. Relatively affordable prices make MSME products relevant to the purchasing power of various levels of society.

On the other hand, MSMEs open up new jobs for workers.

Therefore, the Indonesian government through various State Higher Institutions continues to provide support for MSMEs so that they can improve their capabilities and upgrade.

Recently, the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, the Ministry of Trade, Bank Indonesia, Sarinah, and supported by KADIN and Jakarta Fashion Week held “Indonesia in SG - New Horizon of Sustainable Indonesia” at Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya, Orchard, Singapore. The exhibition, which was held on April 17-21, was enlivened by various Indonesian MSMEs producing fashion products and accessories.

In addition, Bank Indonesia, the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, and the Ministry of Trade also collaborated through the organization of Indonesia in Korea - Seoul Food & Hotel (SFH) 2024 at Kintex, Seoul, South Korea, from June 11 to 14. SFH is the largest food exhibition in South Korea and a strategic platform for Indonesian SMEs to reach the global market.

Through the Xpora program, BNI supports the implementation of these international events by sending its best MSMEs to participate.

Minister of SOEs’ Special Staff III Arya Sinulingga appreciated the effort.

"The Ministry of SOEs has mandated BNI to become an Indonesian-owned bank that expands globally. BNI should continue to engage with multiple parties, including the government and the private sector, to pave the way for our MSMEs to export internationally," stated Arya.

Arya also said that the quality of Indonesian MSME products is improving, making it feasible to compete in the global market. BNI provides suitable support for MSME players in Indonesia and internationally.

“In Indonesia, BNI is one of the banks that distributes People's Business Credit (KUR) and credit with other schemes for MSMEs. As for abroad, BNI continues to boost the distribution of Diaspora Loan for diaspora entrepreneurs there through its Foreign Office,” concluded Arya.
