BNI Supports BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in Improving Social Security Services through BNIdirect Cash

(14/10/2025) - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI strengthens the financial sector's role in supporting employment social security services through a partnership with the Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). This support is realized through the optimization of the BNIdirect cash platform, a digital cash management solution that improves the efficiency, transparency, and convenience of transactions, both for companies and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants.

BNI Corporate Banking Director Agung Prabowo explained that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has utilized the BNIdirect cash service as part of the BNIdirect ecosystem to expand the flexibility of participant contribution payments.

"With BNIdirect Cash, we are providing an efficient and integrated cash management solution for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," said Agung.

This collaboration encompasses comprehensive financial services support, including contribution collection, benefit payments, and management of BPJS and DJS funds. Through robust system integration, BNI helps strengthen the institution's financial governance and ensures secure and accurate transactions.

Agung explained that BNIdirect cash implements a multi-layered authorization system with a multi-level approval mechanism—starting from the maker, approver, to the releaser. This feature not only enhances transaction security but also minimizes the risk of errors and potential misuse of funds. In addition, BNIdirect cash makes it easier for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participating companies to make automatic and scheduled contribution payments, thereby minimizing the risk of late payments.

“This will ultimately reduce the risk of late payments, which can impact worker protection, especially amid economic uncertainty,” Agung said.

He added that companies can now make BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions through the billing payment feature on BNIdirect cash.

"We hope this efficiency in contribution payments will strengthen BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's role as the primary protector of workers. This feature is a tangible manifestation of our support amidst the ever-evolving economic dynamics," he said.

To date, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has 324 branch offices spread throughout Indonesia to provide the best service for workers, both in the registration process and benefit services.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Finance and Risk Management Director Asep Rahmat Suwandha expressed his appreciation for BNI's support through this digital service.

“The services provided by BNIdirect cash are in line with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's commitment to providing optimal services for participants, particularly in terms of ease of contribution payments. This is a very positive synergy in improving services for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants,” said Asep.

This cooperation strengthens BNI's position as a strategic partner of the government in the digitization of public services and national financial management. Through BNIdirect cash, BNI is committed to supporting an efficient, transparent, and sustainable payment system to strengthen the employment social security ecosystem in Indonesia.
