PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI was part of the historic moment of the harvest of titles won by young Indonesian athletes at the Australian Open 2025 event which took place at the State Sports Centre, Sydney, Australia.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the increasingly mature process of developing athletes from a young age, supported by a tiered training program and targeted competitions.
"We are proud to see young Indonesian athletes confidently performing and achieving on the international stage. This proves that long-term investment in athlete development is on the right track," he said in a written statement.
Indonesia managed to secure titles in several categories simultaneously. The Australian Open 2025 even featured an all-Indonesian final in two categories.
Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin emerged victorious in the men's doubles category, topping the podium. In the same category, Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, also from Indonesia, finished runner-up.
In the women's doubles category, Indonesia again stole the attention through the victory of Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum as champions, followed by Febriana D. Kusuma/M. Trias Puspitasari as runners up.
Moving on to the mixed doubles sector, the pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha A.N. Pasaribu managed to win the runner-up position.
Meanwhile, in the women's singles sector, Putri Kusuma Wardani performed quite well and managed to achieve runner-up results.
This string of achievements is concrete proof that the development of young Indonesian athletes continues to yield tangible results, solidifying Indonesia's position as one of the world's leading badminton powers.
"Our young athletes proved that they are not just fillers in international tournaments, but also top competitors ready to take the podium wherever they compete," added Okki.
BNI reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening collaboration with the All Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) in maintaining the sustainability of national achievements through support for young athlete development.
This collaboration is expected to be an important foundation for the creation of Indonesia's golden generation of badminton players who are capable of maintaining the winning tradition and bringing glory to the Red and White in the future.
