BNI Promotes Financial Literacy and Upgrades MSMEs through Participation in NFHE 2025

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI strengthened its commitment to improving financial literacy and encouraging MSMEs to upgrade through active participation in the National Financial Health Event (NFHE) 2025 organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The event was held at the Dhanapala Building, Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (11/27/2025), and was attended by Queen Maxima as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Financial Health.

NFHE serves as a strategic platform for the government, financial institutions, and stakeholders to strengthen public understanding of financial health and encourage more prudent financial behavior, particularly among vulnerable groups.

BNI Operations Director Ronny Venir explained that BNI's participation is a tangible contribution to creating an inclusive, healthy, and sustainable financial ecosystem.

“BNI is present to provide financial education and encourage the use of financial services for all levels of society, including women, MSMEs, migrant workers, and environmentally conscious communities,” said Ronny in a written statement.

During this event, BNI opened an interactive booth displaying a variety of handicrafts, bags, and wallets made by MSMEs under its foster. The booth served not only as an educational tool, but also as a medium to expand market access for local MSMEs.

Ronny added that BNI's participation is in line with its MSME empowerment strategy, which consists of three stages: Go Productive, Go Digital, and Go Global. This approach is designed to increase business capacity while expanding MSME market penetration to the international level.

As part of the NFHE series, BNI was also one of the speakers in a talk show session that discussed financing support for business actors and financial education for various segments such as MSMEs, teachers, migrant workers, students, and environmental communities.

According to Ronny, cross-stakeholder collaboration is key to strengthening financial literacy and inclusion while accelerating the growth of MSMEs. “This participation also demonstrates BNI's role as an Agent of Development that supports government programs with prudence and a focus on sustainable profits,” he said.

Through its contribution to NFHE 2025, BNI reaffirmed its commitment to expanding financial education, improving access to financing, and facilitating the digitization and market expansion of MSMEs. All of these steps were part of BNI's efforts to strengthen the foundations of an increasingly inclusive and sustainable economy.
